They can’t type. It’s a problem with having Bassety paws. And they’ve no typewriter. So Bella, Lola, Lottie and Rufus have nominated me as their typist person. This is our first blog. A dog blog. We are nosetothegound and they are hounds, three Basset Hounds and a little Fauve de Bretagne, and I am their hooman. I make most appearances in life strewn with dog hair and a light coating of slobber. We own two washing machines…
Here are some things you probably won’t mind knowing.
Bella and Lola and six years old and full blood Basset Hound sisters. They are rather haughty, rarely naughty and earn their keep as Pets As Therapy cuddlers.
Lottie, was three years old this week. We sang Happy Woofday to her. She is a Basset Fauve de Bretagne and when we rescued her, she understood.
And Rufus. Well Rufus is 18 months and at the minute he is a sex manic-humpy-rumpy-hound. He’s a lover, a kisser, a stink-puffer.
We are our own mutual appreciation club – but we thought we’d like to share.

Ada basset is 7…….she will use any excuse not to excersise…..she is a couch potatoe….a home bird…..so very lazy ……so very greedy…..but is miss personality…And we love her to bits!
Katie….her friend and bedfellow….is a rescue aged 10….she is a hunter….hunter of cats….hunter of anything! sShe enjoys walking more than food….which is the opposite of Ada….who enjoys food more than walking…….
They are devoted to each other…..never ever a cross word….always snug next to each other.

Vivienne do you think Bassets are the only woofers that do not have sibling fights. Ours have never fought either. Thank you for being our first responder!
